Effective 13 September 2026
Built Log is a workout tracker. These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the app. Installing or using Built Log means you accept them.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Built Log on devices you own or control, for your own training. The licence lasts as long as you keep to these terms.
You may not resell the app, rent it out, reverse engineer it, strip out its security, or use it to build a competing product. You may not use it to break the law.
Built Log records training and suggests training. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing in it is medical advice. Coach plans, readiness signals, and AI-generated text are software output, not a professional opinion.
Strength and endurance training carries real risk of injury. Talk to a doctor before starting a programme, especially if you have an injury, a heart or joint condition, are pregnant, or are returning after time away. If something hurts, stop. You train at your own risk.
Built Log works without an account. If you create one for cloud sync, keep your sign-in details to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at support@builtlog.app if you think someone else has access.
You can delete your account at any time. The steps, and what deletion does and does not remove, are at https://builtlog.app/delete-account.
You keep ownership of everything you put into Built Log: workouts, sessions, notes, exercise names, health entries. We claim no rights over it.
To run the features you switch on, you give us permission to store and process that data, which means holding your synced records so they reach your other devices, and passing text you submit to AI conversion through to the service that performs it. That permission covers operating the app for you, nothing else. We do not sell your data, show ads, or run behavioural tracking. What we hold and why is set out in the privacy policy.
Convert with AI and Coach explanations send text to Anthropic, the company whose AI performs the work, and return a result. Those results can be wrong, incomplete, or oddly worded. Check anything before you rely on it, and edit whatever it imports. Daily usage limits apply and can change.
Built Log is free to use. Built Log Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features.
We add, alter, and remove features. We may stop offering Built Log entirely. If we shut the service down we will give reasonable notice where we can, so you have time to export your data. Nothing here promises any particular feature will still exist tomorrow.
Built Log is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will never lose data. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose; the app can export your data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, for lost data, or for lost profits, arising from your use of Built Log. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is true, they apply to the extent permitted, and you may have rights that these terms cannot take away.
You can stop at any time by deleting the app and, if you made one, your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections on data ownership, warranties, liability, and governing law survive the end of the agreement.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters, we will flag it in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Built Log after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere with mandatory local protections, this does not remove them.
